These general conditions are applicable in cases where local or EU law does not say otherwise. For private consumers the EU Distance selling laws are naturally followed
Order
Directly after your order an order confirmation is sent out to the e-mail address you provided us with. Orders made in another persons name without agreement or in any other way leads to anyone’s harm will be reported to the police.

Should you for some reason not be available for delivery we will charge you a fee of 75 EUR in order to cover the cost of shipping.

Card payments
With PayPal card payments you can pay with VISA, Mastercard and American Express. Your card will be charged when you order. PayPal is handling the card information and is auctorized with PCI DSS certification in order to ensure a safe transfer and storage in encrypted form.

Completion
Sounds Of Science initiates the fulfillment of this agreement when you have clicked teh button „Order“ during checkout. Sounds Of Science has fulfilled its part of this agreement when you have received a complete delivery of the products in your order. You as a customer has completed your part of this agreement when you have paid in full and received the ordered products.
Shipping
All deliveries are undertaken with by us chosen delivery company and is charged according to the price list. It is the buyers responsibility to make sure that the address and telephone number provided to us at the time of order is correct, and that the customer is available for delivery and/or pick-up. Deliveries can be made to Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. When it comes to Norway we co-operate with Andervik Audio and we send all orders there, thus saving us all a lot of money in customs and so forth on every single package. We offer the following delivery options and prices
DPD/PostNord and DSV (depending on package sizes and package amount)
For Sweden and Finland we charge 27 EUR for shipping. If the order is above 500 EUR then the shipping is free.
For the Baltics we charge 15 EUR for shipping. If the order is above 200 EUR then the shipping is free.
Risk of transportation
The transportation risk is on Sounds Of Science until your order has been delivered to you. Should there be any visible damages to the package please document those together with the courier. Should there be any damages to the products themselves please document those and contact Sounds Of Science on info@sofsci.com
(Since we make sound absorbers that actually works they tend to be quite heavy. Thus the packages can look quite beaten up upon arrival – but we pack very carefully so the chances of the products being damaged is slim. But still: Document!)
Delivery times
We manufacture the products upon order. Some products, such as products with print or MOON which is complex and made by hand, takes a bit longer time to manufacture than others. Our goal is to ship smaller orders within ten working days and larger as soon as we can. If anything occurs that we cannot control with a resulting delay the customer will be noticed and the customer has the right to terminate the purchase and receive a full re-payment. Deliveries are always made of the full order. Part deliveries is only made upon request and brings with it added costs for the customer.
Returns and rights to withdraw
Statutory right of withdrawal
If the customer withdraws from this Contract, we must reimburse any payments we have received from the customer, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs incurred if the customer has selected a different type of delivery to the cheapest standard delivery option offered by us) without delay, but no later than fourteen (14) days after the ordered products are returned. We will use the same payment method the customer used for the original transaction in order to provide the reimbursement, unless otherwise expressly agreed; under no circumstances will the customer be charged a fee for this refund. We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or until the customer has provided proof that he/she has returned the goods, whichever is earlier.
The customer must return or hand over the goods to us without delay and no later than fourteen (14) days from the date on which he/she notifies us of withdrawal from this Contract. The deadline is deemed to be met if the customer sends the goods before the expiry of the fourteen-day deadline. The cost of returning the goods is on the customer.
The customer shall only be liable for any diminished value of the goods if this loss in value is attributable to any use or handling of the goods which is not deemed necessary in order to verify the condition, features and functioning of the goods.
Exclusions from the statutory right of withdrawal
The statutory right of withdrawal shall not apply in the following cases:
Delivery of goods which are not prefabricated and have been manufactured on the basis of a personal choice or according to customer specifications, or of goods which have clearly been tailored to the customer’s personal requirements. For example prints of your choice and custom sizes.
Delivery of sealed goods which are not suitable to be returned for reasons relating to health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery.
Delivery of audio or video recordings or computer software in sealed packaging if the seal has been removed after delivery.
Delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines, excluding subscription contracts.
Warranty and compensation
Defects or any other damage caused by negligent or improper treatment of the goods, improper installation, the use of unsuitable accessories or changes made to the original parts by the customer or a third party not commissioned by Sounds Of Science are not covered by the warranty.
Signs of wear and tear from normal use are also excluded from the warranty. Always save the original packaging for warranty returns.
If the customer accepts the goods or the object of the order despite being aware of a defect, he/she shall only be entitled to assert warranty claims to the extent described below if he/she has expressly reserved the right hereto in writing immediately after receiving the goods.
Warranty claims on the grounds of transportation damage may only be asserted by the customer if the obligation to inspect and report has been fulfilled. This does not apply if the customer is a consumer.
The warranty period for new items shall be 24 months. The period shall commence upon transfer of risk. Conversely, the warranty period for used items shall be 12 months unless Sounds Of Science is liable. If the customer is a business, the warranty period for new items shall be one year and six months from the transfer of risk.
Warranty formalities shall otherwise be carried out in congruence with the legal regulations.

Returns
Upon the return of products or material to Sounds Of Science the products must be packaged in such a manner that they are protected during transport. Sounds Of Science therefore recommends you to package these products in the same way and with the same packaging as when the products where delivered to you.
In such a case where the customer has packed badly or used bad packaging material and the products are damaged during the return shipping, the customer bears the responsibility for the damage.
When returning products to Sounds Of Science you are responsible for the products to reach Sounds Of Science undamaged. Sounds Of Science also recommends you to use trackable shipping.
Retention of title
In case of contracts concluded with consumers, Sounds Of Science shall reserve the right of retention for the goods until the purchase price has been paid in full.
The customer shall not be entitled to sell the goods to third parties or to take any other measures which could put the ownership of Sounds Of Science at risk until the purchase price has been paid in full. The customer hereby assigns to Sounds Of Science any future claims against the buyer in the amount of the purchase price agreed between Sounds Of Science and the customer, including interest and ancillary payments. Sounds Of Science accepts this assignment.
Right to change
Sounds Of Science has the right, without prior notice, to change the contents of the web site, which includes, but is not limited to, offers, prices and campaigns. Such changes does not affect already made business agreements between Sounds Of Science and the customer.
Reservation of obligations
Sounds Of Science is to be free from obligations in accordance with this agreement if responsibility otherwise would have accured by actions outside the scope of this agreement.
Exemption of obligations
Force Majeure
In the event of authority actions or negligence, new laws, labour right conflict, war or dange of war, disturbance of public order, sabotage, extreme weather, fire, explosion, nature disaster, accidents or other event outside the scope of Sounds Of Science control then Sounds Of Science shall have the right to not fulfill its obligations in accordance with this agreement. In such events Sounds Of Science can never be deemed any liability for any customer damages.
External links
Sounds Of Science is not responsible for any damages or problems with the customers soft- or hardware that arises because of the customer having followed any outbound links published on https://www.sofsci.com/ or any other domain owned by Sounds Of Science.
Allowance for price fluctuations or trade barriers
In case of price fluctuations or trade barriers, such as lack of essential components, where Sounds Of Science cannot reasonably be held to its obligations in accordance with this agreement, Sounds Of Science has the right to terminate this agreement without being liable to any claims or compensations from the customer.
Allowance for tax- or fee changes
In case of major changes in taxations or fees Sounds Of Science has the right to terminate this agreement without being liable to any claims or compensations from the customer.
Allowance for delivery delays
Should a delivery delay occur, that is outside of the control of Sounds Of Science, then Sounds Of Science is not to be held responsible in any way.
Installation of Sounds Of Science products
Sounds Of Science delivers the means and instructions on how to install the products. Any damages that derives from Sounds Of Science products falling down or otherwise damaging something is not to be the responsiblity of Sounds Of Science. Always confer with your local builder and/or expert in installations procedures, before mounting any products on the walls or in the ceilings.
Other
Police Report
Sounds Of Science will always report any frauds, scams or similar (or attempts thereof) to the Police.
Immaterial right, logos and brands
All the material on Sounds Of Science domains is the immaterial property of Sounds Of Science, which means it cannot be used by anyone unless explicitly given the rights to do so.
The purpose of information
All information on this site, no matter the format, is published for informational purpose in order for the visitor to be able to use the web site. Sounds Of Science is not responsible if this information is used for any other purpose than that.
Disputes
In the unlikely event that a dispute cannot be solved the matter will be solved in court and in agreement with EU laws.
